Dynamic Engine Testing
Some engine suppliers feel that "crank testing" or "leak-down testing" an engine is adequate. It may be for them, but it need not be good enough for you! Dynamic testing, that is, actually starting and running the engine on a test bench, is by far the best way to test an engine. Be assured that your engine will be hot-run tested, compression tested, and oil pressure tested. If this sounds like a lot of work, it is! It takes an average of 3 hours to prepare and properly test each engine. Why go through so much trouble? We look at it like this… Every engine gets thoroughly tested one way or another.
